The Honorable member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing Lokoja-kotonkarfe Federal constituency Alhaji Abdullkarim Usman Isah, (the Wambai of Igu kingdoms), has said that Government will set up a medium that will assist those who were affected by the recent flood disaster at Edeha Community in Kogi KotonKarfe (KKF) Local Government area of Kogi State.
Wambai said this as he “Paid a sympathy visit to flood victims in Edaeha community”.
Many people were displaced by the flood which ravaged properties and several communities in area.
Wamabi said “flood is a temporary overflow of a normally dry area due to overflow of a body of water, unusual buildup, runoff of surface waters, or abnormal erosion lead to destruction property and displacement of resident close riverbank.
He urge the peoples who where affected to accept the incident in good faith and no body can question God will.
“He Assured the peoples that government will set up a medium for assisting flood victims. The service is to be provided in a systematic and consistent manner able to keep the people continually informed.
According to the community head which impressed by this gesture and express encouraged by Hon Abdullkarim Usman Isah support and assure him that his people will continue to give their maximum support needed.”
