Senator Al-Makura Attends National Convention of KETCOSA

Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura this afternoon attended a National Convention organised by the Keffi Government Teachers’ College Old Students Association (KETCOSA). The occasion held at the Sandaji Hotel, Millionaires Quarters, Lafia.

The event attracted members of the association from all walks of life, including Distinguished Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa South. The event was also a reminiscent of the good old days of quality education and resounding performance by both the government and students.

Various speakers at the occasion appreciated Senator Al-Makura for making the Association and its members proud through his landmark achievements while he was governor of Nasarawa state, and what he has been doing at the Senate, especially the reforms he is driving in the Solid Minerals Committee.

In his remark, Senator Al-Makura applauded the leadership and members of the Association for initiating the reunion, calling on all of them to show continuous love, sacrifices and understanding in their dealings with one another.

Al-Makura said he is elated to meet the people he met in the College. He identified most members who were seated at the occasion and counted the achievements recorded by each. He therefore confessed that they are all proud to be students of the College.

The Senator wrapped up his remark by taking the members memory lane and solicited for continuous contact amongst themselves for the progress of their alma mater.

Senator Al-Makura made a commitment to donate N2m every year to the Association, formerly registered a bonafide member and constitution of the Association issued to him.
