APC has already taken over IMO state!

Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka is quoted to have predicted that the All Progressives Congress will take over Imo State this year, and this has triggered expected reactions from those who agree and those who don’t. Unfortunately, God’s word, when it’s truly God’s word, is not subject to arguments. When God speaks, it is final.

Father Mbaka, a fiery man of God who runs the Adoration Ground Ministries in Enugu cuts a controversial figure for some people, especially, when the issue is about politics. We can count a number of his political predictions which never came to pass and many too, which happened as he predicted. Most recently, he predicted that the Atiku-Obi ticket was going to end in disgrace and that Buhari-Osinbajo ticket was the sure winner. While it may not be fair to say that the Atiku-Obi ticket ended in disgrace, those who believe that defeat in an electoral contest is disgraceful, may give Father Mbaka kudos for predicting so precisely.

Father Mbaka is lampooned today by the same people who celebrated him yesterday, because while his prediction yesterday was to their interest, today’s prediction is to their chagrin. I am told that the government in Imo State and the PDP have contracted prayer warriors to ensure that this prediction never comes to pass. They have failed to realize that God is unlike humans, and cannot be bribed. If God truly told Mbaka that the APC will take over Imo this year, then, it will surely come to pass.

I do not know if Father Mbaka categorically stated that Senator Hope Uzodimma was going to be sworn in as the governor of Imo State this year, what I heard is that the APC as a political Party will take over Imo State. So, before you disagree or agree with the Man of God, you have to hear him right, before you become guilty of jumping into a matter without hearing the details right. I also did not hear Father Mbaka say that God has told him that Hope Uzodimma or the APC will take over Imo in 2020. What he said might actually be his own personal wish or political prognosis, not God’s word to him.

Personally, I believe that the APC has clear chances of literally taking over the State from the PDP, this 2020 rather than in 2023, but this may not be as many people expected it. Father Mbaka may also not be wishing that his prediction is taken the way a lot of people have taken it.

With the full return of His Excellency Ugwumba Uche Nwosu to the APC, with all his political structures and followers and the ongoing reconciliation within the APC in Imo State which has seen the immediate past governor of the State, His Excellency Senator Owelle Rochas Okorocha realign with his friend, Senator Ifeanyi Ararume, there will almost be no stopping the APC, in the State, this year. Governor Ihedioha is practically running a minority government, as long as the present political equation in the State is concerned. Democracy is about the popularity of a mandate, and Ihedioha’s mandate does not have the support of up to 30% of Imolites.

With Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, Senators Ifeanyi Ararume and Hope Uzodimma in one Party, the APC has already taking over Imo State, and Ihedioha knows that. So, instead of running around to blame Father Mbaka for stating the obvious, Ihedioha should rather be concerned that no matter what the Supreme Court verdict on the Imo governorship is, he is running the State with an unpopular mandate.

Beyond the reality of APC’s overwhelming popularity in Imo State, Ihedioha’s secret negotiations to join the All Progressives Congress may yet prove Father Mbaka more accurate than anyone may imagine.
