Federal Government of Nigeria has revokes Itobe-Ajaokuta-Okene highway contract

Awarded under the administration of former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, the 60km Itobe-Ajaokuta-Okene Road has suffered setback in the hands of the contractor, subjecting motorists to suffering of unimaginable degree.

Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Yahaya Bello has made countless visits to the minister of Power, Works and Housing, lamenting the snail speed approach of the contractor handling this particular road that has caused untold hardship to the commuters.

It was disclosed on Friday, that the Federal Government has revoked the contract for the reconstruction of this highway in Kogi State.
The controller explained that the contract to reconstruct the 60 km highway was signed in 2015 to Scoa Motors but lamented that after five years, no substantial work was done which necessitated the government to withdraw the contract.

This, and all other federal roads in Kogi state will be taken care of under the current administration.
