Unknown gunmen yesterdays evening kidnapped one Mallam Idris in Kogi Kotonkarfe local government area of Kogi State.
Mallam Idris was kidnapped along Katubo road in Kotonkarfe, (Igu) the administrative headquarters of Kotonkarfe Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Confirming the incident, Omokoshaban in a conversation called with one of the resident of the area told our reporter that “yes it is through he was kidnapped last night,”.
Also a friend to the victim took to his Facebook wall to share the picture and this caption “SubhanaLlaah May Allah continue to protect us all from any evil people. My Friend Mallam Idris has been kidnapped yesterday along katubo road Kogi koton karfe yesterday night. Please we need your prayers. JazakaLlaahu Khayran”.
One of the residents who speak with omokoshaban reporter, identity as Abu said that kidnapping has been order of the day, according to him, they hardly sleep with their two eyes close now.
He said the situations has even subsides a little due to the effort of vigilante group, which he called Ozidu.
He then called on the State Governor to please fine a palliative measure to arrest the situations.
When we ask him, has the state Governor not trying on the issue of securities?
He said yes the state Governor is trying, but he failed to tackle the cause of kidnapping, in his statement, he said hungry and lack of employment are the major cause of insecurity, “if any government want to fight insecurities he should start by creating jobs and enabling environment for it move on” he said
Mallam Idris is still in the hand of abductors as the time of filing this repot.
