Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has renamed a street formerly known as Adams Oshiomole Crescent after a former Senate President, Bukola Saraki on Friday.

Obaseki on Friday joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and has wasted no time in warming himself to his new political party and their leaders.
The Governor renamed the street in Auchi, Edo state from Adams Oshiomole Crescent to Bukola Saraki Boulevard.
Obaseki is seeking re-election on the platform of the PDP after the All Progressives Congress (APC) disqualified him from seeking a second term as being reported by omokoshaban.com.
Obaseki and his predecessor, Adams Oshiomhole have been at loggerheads and all peaceful avenue to settle their differences have failed.
Oshiomhole who is the national chairman of the APC has vowed that Obaseki will not return on the platform of the party and has picked Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu to succeed him.
