The match Between Tottenham and Everton was keenly contested but Tottenham were able to secure victory at the end of the day.
The home side got the decisive goal in the 24th minute when Lo Celso’s shot was deflected by Keane past Jordan Pickford and into his own net. Everton pushed for a leveler in the closing stages of the game but no effort of theirs could really get past Hugo Lloris. Spurs were able to keep composure and finish the game claiming all three points.
Meanwhile, during half time there was a bit of a spat between Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris and Forward Heung-min Son. Lloris confirmed during full time that the spat was due to lack of pressing from the forward. As the teams walked off to their dressing rooms after the half time whistle Hugo Lloris rushed over to confront Son and the two players had to be separated by other teammates.
Despite the heated confrontation Coach, Jose Mourinho could only render his pleasure to see such things happening in his words he said that the confrontation between both players was “beautiful and that it showed how much passion runs through the team”.
Spurs win takes them up to eighth position but still face an uphill task to catch Man United and Wolves at European spots.
