Former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senator Godswill Akpabio on Thursday tendered apology to members of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for dumping the party a months before 2019 general elections.
He said“I apologize to my colleagues in the PDP for the manner I left, I know they miss me, My stay in the 8th Senate is a mixture of sadness and happiness,” Akpabio said this at the 8th Senate valedictory session in Abuja.
Akpabio while living the party last year to join, All Progressives Congress (APC).
Said “Let the world know I’ve joined APC, I’m now a progressive, What I have done today is to link the people of Akwa Ibom to the centre. Akpabio is now in APC.”
