National Assembly complex build in 1999 with N7 Billion by PDP to be renovated with N37 Billion by APC

Just in, Newspaper headlines report that president Muhammad Buhari has approved N37 Billion for the renovation of Nigeria Notional Assembly complex.

The Senate President, Ahmed Lawan who disclosed the development to journalist in Abuja’s said that the N37 Billion is not included in the 2020 National Assembly budget.

Lawan also said that complex have not witness any renovation for the past 20 years, hence the need for the renovation.

Recalled that, the same National Assembly was build in the year 1999, during president Olusegun Obasanjo when he was elected under the platform of People Democratic Party (PDP) with total sum of $35.18 Million, which when converted to Naira currency, is N7 Billion.

According to Wikipedia, the contract was awarded to ITB Nigeria on February 18th 1996, by the department of Public building, FCDA Abuja’s.
