“I maintain my Innocence”, Adesina claims.

The President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Akinwumi Adesina refuted the corruption allegations leveled against him.

“I maintain my innocence with regard to trumped-up allegations that unjustly seek to impugn my honour and integrity, as well as the reputation of the African Development Bank”, he states.

He maintained that the allegations were “spurious and unfounded”, and “blatantly false”.

As the first Nigerian to be in charge of the AfDB, Adesina has had remarkable facts such as the raising of $115 billion in fresh capital, and he is determined to maintain his stance and integrity.
