Two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ensured that the Gunnars walk out of Wembley victorious.
After A flying start from Chelsea which saw Christain Pulisic opening scoring in the 5th minute becoming the first American to score in an Fa cup final match, Chelsea were looking to wrap things up as quickly as possible.

But Arsenal responded superbly, building a very patient play to see Star man, Aubameyang winning a penalty when he was brought down by Cesar Azpilicueta who was then showed a yellow card by referee, Anthony Taylor. He took the penalty and converted it in a fine manner to score his 28th of the season from the penalty spot and four in his two Fa cup matches this season.

It wasn’t the kind of game The Blues were looking to have with a lot of going on, Cesar Azpilicueta and Pulisic both limped off the pitch in what looked like Hamstring Injuries either side of the halves. Problems became worst when Aubameyang completed the comeback in the 67th minute with a delectable ball over Willy Caballero.

Chelsea’s hopes of a comeback were totally dashed when Mateo Kovacic was sent off for a second yellow thereby giving Arsenal the numerical power to be able to secure the title.

Things won’t look good for Chelsea who are to return to Champions League football against Bayern Munich August 8th with injuries to key players being confirmed a total of three injuries was recorded for the Blues on Sunday with Pedro also going down with a shoulder injury.

Arsenal are now the record holders for the most Fa cup trophy won by a team in England. This makes it their 14th Fa cup title in the clubs history and Coach Mikel Arteta now becomes the person to captain and manage a club to win the Fa cup title.

Victory now assures Arsenal of a place in the Europa league next season..
